Stan and Merlyn Legg
Stan and Merlyn were strong supporters during the years their children attended Nampa High School. Although we didn’t have a booster club during those years, Stan and Merlyn was the booster club! They stepped up when their kid’s teams needed support for team dinners, fundraisers, summer league transportation, etc.
They have continued to support Nampa High School by being a team host for the Girls State tournament that is hosted at NHS. This year marks the 14th year as a team host.
Team: 1996 State Runner up Football Team
This team played Highland in the state championship game at Boise State University. It was a hard fought game with Highland coming out on top with a 30-18 victory. It marked the second straight year for Nampa High School to play in the state championship game.

Jana (Pintler) Blacker
Jana lettered in volleyball and basketball all three years of her high school career. She also lettered one year in tennis and one year in golf. Among the honors she received are the Athletic Scholar Award, Volleyball MVP, first team All SIC, All State All Star Team, All District Team, player of the week, All SIC Academic team.
She was the volleyball captain her senior year and let the team with the most kills.
In basketball, she received the Best All Around player award, Highest Free Throw % award, and player of the week.
Jana attend the University of Idaho for two years and is currently self employed as a bookkeeper and as a para pro in the Nampa School District, as well as the varsity volleyball coach at Notus High School.
Jana is married to her high school sweetheart, Mark Blacker, and have four beautiful children: Jaycee 17, Jorian 12, Kiana and Kelton 9 years old.
Klint started on the varsity basketball team all three years of his high school career, (1990, 1991, and 1992). His senior year, he was SIC All Conference and All State Honorable Mentions as well as the Nampa High Coaches Award. Following his career at Nampa, he served on a mission in the Dominican Republic and graduated from BYU in 1998. He continued his education at Case Western Reserve Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio in 2002. He returned to Nampa and took over his father’s dental practice, Today’s Dentistry. He is the major sponsor for the Today’s Dentistry Elite Eight Basketball tournament that is hosted by Nampa High School along with Columbia and Skyview. Klint has been happily married to his wife, Betsy for 18 years and the proud father of six beautiful children.
Craig came to Nampa High School in 1977. He assisted Leon Long, coaching baseball until becoming the head baseball coach in 1988. He was the Head baseball coach from 1988 to 1997 when he retired from coaching but continued to work in the Nampa District until 2007.
Craig’s teams won District Championships in 1993, 1995 and 1996. He was also the III District Coach of the Year for those years. 93, 95, 96. In 1993, Craig was selected as the State Coach of the Year. His teams were the state runner-up in 1993 and Third Place in 1996.
He relayed in his accomplishments; that he put up with Leon Long, Bob Ranells and Bill Lofholm for many years!!! J
