They have helped with Rake-Up Nampa in the fall and Red Nose Day in the spring, as well as numerous other fundraising events and bake sales, etc.
There is a $25 fee for State and National dues for FCCLA. Students are entered on the national register when they pay. This year, those that paid their dues before October 19th got to go to Wahooz for free with students from the other CTSO's (Career and Technical Student Organizations like FFA, BPA, HOSA, TSA and SKILLS). We have a fall FCCLA District Leadership Conference coming up on November 9th with other high schools from Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Melba, Middleton and Payette at Scentsy Commons that will cost $12.00. This will happen during the school day, and includes lunch. Other than that, we fund raise for costs associated with competitions. We generally are able to cover the costs of district and state competitions. If students make it to the national competition level, parents have to pay for the flights and any additional charges that are not covered by the fundraising activities. This year the National Conference and Competition is in Anaheim, California. We will be going to Disney Land!
