Dean of Students
Dax Chandler

I was raised on the front range of Colorado in a small town named Lafayette. I earned my BA in Math with an emphasis in Secondary Education at the University of Northern Colorado. I began my teaching career near the Navajo Reservation in Page, Arizona where I coached football, wrestling and golf and taught math for 7 wonderful years. While in Page, I also obtained my MAED in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. In 2002, we moved our family to Nampa. I taught pre-algebra and algebra and coached wrestling for one year at Caldwell High School. I then moved to the Meridian School District and taught for 10 years at Meridian Middle and Heritage Middle School. While in Meridian, I was also the night school co-principal, Driver Education Coordinator for the school district and the middle school summer school principal. I left Meridian in 2013 and began teaching math at Columbia High School. I spent last year as the Nampa School District Secondary Math Instructional Coach.

I started in education back in 1995. I look forward to the challenge of being the Dean of Students for Nampa High School. My vision is to provide a safe environment for all students who attend Nampa High School. I have a vested interest in the Nampa School District as I have three wonderful children who currently attend Nampa Schools and my amazing wife who is an instructional coach at Lake Ridge Elementary.
