Cultural Celebration Day will be one week from today on Friday, May 5th, during lunch. There will be dances, authentic food, jalapeño contest, activities, music and much more. Don’t forget to bring money to buy authentic yummy food and…be ready to have fun! Don’t forget to sign up to participate in the Jalapeño Eating Contest taking place that day as well if you think you are brave enough.  Pick up your permission slip from any Foreign Language Society in the cafeteria during lunch.

NHS Students and Staff: "How's Your Positive Mental Attitude?"  Come join Mrs. Parsons and weekly guest to ramp up positivity and have a lot of fun with an activity and workout!  This is an OPEN class that will be held EVERY Tuesday and Thursday in the cafeteria.  If you missed it last week, come this week!!!

Skyview will be hosting a special “Cross Check Cancer Hockey Fundraiser” on Wed., May 3rd, at 7:00 pm in the Skyview gym.  As always, 100% of the profits will go to two families to help offset huge medical bills that come with their fight against major health issues.  Skyview has helped raise over $17,000 the past 4 years to help with these families.  Admission is only $2 or whatever else you would like to donate.  Please come share a night of fun (Columbia staff vs. Skyview staff) with our honorees, students, staff & community as we all come together with the same “goal”!

There will be a Karaoke machine and Karaoke Contest on Tues., May 16th, during lunch (10:33-11:33) in the NHS cafeteria!  Come join us for lunch and get your groove on!  Judges will be made up of your peers.  Have fun with friends and great food.  There will be loads of songs to choose from and prizes for the winners.  Come cheer your friends on and don’t miss it – Mrs. McNutt will be the one to beat!

TODAY is National Super Heros Day!  Ask someone who their super hero is today and why.  Also, speaking of super heros, Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Softball Team who beat Columbia last night 23-22.  Way to go, girls!
